Since many foster homes are already filled, if you don’t already have a foster placement you will probably be high up on the list.You will be given information concerning the potential foster child or children that the social worker needs to place. You could be told how many children need a foster placement, whether they are boy or girl, and how old they are. If you want to ask for extra information you can do so.You then get to decide whether or not you want to accept the placement based on the information you have been given. You will never be forced to accept a placement by the social worker.
